2. The Basic Structure of Electric Vehicle
Longwise Electric Vehicles are made up of electric driving and controll system, transmission mechanism system.The electric driving and control system is the core of electric vehicles, and it is the biggest difference from gas motor cars.It is made up of electric motor, battery, controller.Others are similar with the gas motor cars.
2.1.Battery
The energy for movement of electric vehicles are source from batteries.Presently the lead acid batteries are broadly used in this industry, with the development of technology,some of new type batteries like LiFePo4 battery,lithium ion battery, Silica gel battery, fuel battery, flywheel battery are gradually used,it opens the broad future for electric vehicles.
2.2. Electric Motor
The Electric Motor is the equipment that could convert the electric energy to mechanism energy.Presently we usually adopt the DC brush motor,it has the “soft” mechanism character and complies with the driving character of gas motor cars,but need maintenance.We are developing a kind of DC Brushless motor and wheelhub motor.
2.3. Electric speed Controller
The electric speed controller is used for the speed changing and direction changing,it controls the voltage and current of electric motor.Presently all of the Longwise Electric Vehicles are adopted the USA Curtis controller which quality is accepted for the worldwide.
2.4. Transmission System
The function of transmission system is coverting the driving torque to driving shaft.
2.5. Driving Equipment
It is combined with wheel,tire,and suspension.
2.6. Steering system
The steering system effects when the car turning direction,it is combined with direction changing machine,steering wheel,direction wheel etc.
